Writing Service Pricing

  • Book Revision Prices in Canadian Dollars:

    • Substantive editing (including plot and story structural edits, line edits): $0.01/word first pass, thereafter, additional passes at $0.008/word.
    • Mechanical editing (including grammar correction, spelling, sentence and or paragraph structure): $0.02/word, per pass.
    • Proof reading only (includes highlighting errors only): $0.008/word, one pass only.

  • Book Layout Assistance Prices in Canadian Dollars:

    • Coaching for book layout readiness (for self-publishing to Amazon, etc.): $100 for one hour Google meet (terms apply – see below).
    • Book layout (interior only, b/w or colour): $45/hour, minimum 4 hours, and two revision rounds for approval.
    • Book cover design (front, spine and back): $400 (deposit of 50% up front).

    Terms and conditions:
    All coaching and graphics services are subject to a minimum 50% deposit, unless otherwise specified. A project brief will be approved before any graphics work is done, and deviations from the brief are subject to price adjustments. All work must be paid in full before final product is released to client. Payment will be done via Paypal or Square invoice, unless under agreed upon alternative payment arrangement. No work will commence until all payment details are provided as requested. No deadline less than 3 working days will be agreed to.

    Coaching calls are subject to the following terms: All calls follow set parameters discussed and clarified by email prior to the call. Persons must be willing to verify their identity and copyright ownership of materials under coaching review. No caller may use the call for purposes other than to receive coaching advice on book layout readiness.
